The school delivers Edexcel IGCSE and GCE ‘A’ level qualifications. The medium of instruction is English. IGCSE is equivalent to Class 9 & 10; GCE 'AS’ level is equivalent to Class 11; GCE 'A’ level is equivalent to Class 12.
The Edexcel program broadens the options of our students for their choices of higher education here in India and abroad. Edexcel’s qualifications have a long history of academic integrity, providing learners a gateway to higher education and employment the world over.
RECOGNITION IN INDIA:
Edexcel’s IGCSE and GCE ‘A’ Level qualifications are recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to the +2 stage qualification of and Indian Board.
IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Examination) curriculum:
IGCSE qualification has a broad and balanced curriculum which provides students an international perspective to their studies. Subjects offered at IGCSE level are:
- English
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Business Studies
- Economics
Students should take any 5 of the above subjects for their course of study. English is compulsory. Those who intend to pursue medical/engineering degree programs or a bachelors degree program at an Indian University are required to obtain 5 passes at IGCSE level with grades A, B, or C in their appropriate subjects.
GCE (General Certificate of Education) “A” Level Curriculum:
'A' levels are normally studied over 2 years. In the first year, the component parts are known as “AS” (Advanced Study) units, equivalent to Class 11. In the second year, the component parts are known as “A2” units, equivalent to Class 12. Students are required to sit for their first set of 2 or 3 “AS” level (depending on the subjects) at the end of the first year, and for their second set of 2 or 3 'A' level (depending on the subjects) at the end of the second year.Subjects offered at GCE 'A' level:

- General Studies

GCE 'A' Level Assessment
All GCE 'A' level units are ‘bankable’, which means that the grade a student achieves for any AS or A2 unit may be ‘banked’, for as long as the specification/curriculum remains current. When the student completes the required combination of AS and A2 units, their grades are combined to give an overall GCE 'A' level grade.
Additional Qualifications in English Language
In addition to the subjects offered at IGCSE level and GCE 'A' level, the school prepares students for Internationally recognized English Language qualifications from the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations. These qualifications are developed and accredited by Edexcel with additional assessment tests by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations. These are required to succeed in today’s modern society in both study and work environments. These qualifications focus on delivering learning in the key language skills; listening, reading, writing, speaking, grammar, and vocabulary.
- YLE (Young Learners English): YLE tests are an ideal introduction to public examinations for children aged between 7-12 and are available at 3 levels; Starters, Movers, and Flyers. The highest of these levels-flyers- is equivalent to the Cambridge Key English Test*. The school offers YLE Starters for students of Grade 5, YLE Movers for students of Grade 6, and YLE flyers for students of Grade 7.
- Key English Test (KET) for schools is a certificate that shows a student can deal with English at a basic level.
- PET (Preliminary English Test); PET for schools is a certificate that shows a student can deal with everyday written and spoken English at an intermediate level. The school offers PET for students of Grade 8.
- IGCSE English Language A is equivalent to IELTS (International English Language Testing System). This means when a student completes Grade 10, their English qualification is equivalent to IELTS. The difference is that when sitting for the IELTS Examination separately, there is only a 2 year validity. With the IGCSE qualification, the validity is life long.
- BULATS (Business Language Testing Service). BULATS is the global benchmark for workplace language skills. BULATS is a reliable diagnostic tool which gives an accurate picture of English language skills. BULATS will be offered to GCE ‘A’ level students.
